Devices for developers - Tampere

Full name: Local Device Program (LDP)
Started: July 1, 2011
Location: New Factory, Tampere, Finland

Ossoil staff helped defining and establishing this program, which loans devices for developers. We participated in implementing LDP management solution, which is based on Drupal. LDP extends MeeGo project community device program by adding another way for developers to get their hands on devices. In other words, intention is not to replace MeeGo project global efforts, but create a device program with lightweight bureaucracy which operates only locally. If this pilot is succesful, it will be copied around the world. LDP prefers open source development, but accepts closed source projects too.
